Coming today on Disney+ is new Marvel series What if…? and the final trailer is all about Captain Carter

Under the title ‘Are You Seeing This?’ we have an official clip for new Marvel series What if…? The show arrives on Disney+ today (Wednesday 11 August) and the first episode seems to be all about Captain Carter.

If you weren’t aware, the new animated series explores other ways the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) might have happened. While WandaVision, Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are all live-action, post-Avengers Endgame, this is something different. The first episode has Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, and the full title is: “What If… Captain Carter Were The First Avenger”.

If you still need convincing, take a look at the new trailer, and watch as a distinctly British hero does her level best to win World War II single-handedly. We understand episodes are each 30 minutes long, and (so far) there will be two seasons of nine episodes (not ten due to pandemic delays). Alternatively, it arrived on Disney+ at 8 am BST, so you could just watch the episode. We’ll bring you our thoughts later on, including any hints for next week’s instalment.
