It will be ITV’s first series to start filming post-lockdown…
It’s good, but it’s not right – Catchphrase will resume filming next week in the UK, making it ITV’s first tentative step into the new normal as we transition out of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
According to Deadline, STV productions has put in place a number of social distancing and safety protocols to protect everyone working on the ten new episodes of Catchphrase, which begin production on 6th July. STV also says says the set has been rejigged, the Catchphrase crew will work in bubbles, and there won’t be an audience present when filming gets underway.
“It feels so good to be back in the studio and it’s taken a huge amount of work from the crew and all at STV Productions who make the show and ITV who broadcast it to get us back up and running safely. We can’t wait to start,” said the host of Catchphrase, Stephen Mulhern.
ITV’s head of entertainment Katie Rawcliffe added: “Catchphrase is the first of ITV’s big entertainment shows to go back into the studio. All the teams have worked incredibly hard to get us back filming.”
