The star of It and Castle Rock has lined up a new project at Netflix…
Polar and Lords of Chaos director Jonas Åkerlund has teamed up with Bill Skarsgård for a new series at Netflix called Clark. Skarsgård, who is still best known for playing the iconic and abominable alien-clown-monster-etc Pennywise in 2017’s It, will also produce the series.
Skarsgård will lead the cast of Clark as Clark Olofsson in what will be a Swedish language version of the notorious criminal’s autobiography. The series will dramatise the events of the drug trafficker and bank robber’s life, starting the tale from the swingin’ 60s.
“Clark Olofsson is, for good and bad, one of Sweden’s most colourful and fascinating individuals,” Skarsgård said in a statement. “I accept this challenge with delight mingled with terror and think that with Jonas and Netflix in the back, we can tell a groundbreaking story with a pace and madness we may not have seen on TV before.”
Åkerlund added: “Clark is the story about the most politically incorrect man, who lived the most politically incorrect life. These are the kinds of stories I always look for.”
More soon.
