The eight-part series is set in and around Whitechapel in London’s East End in 1889, during the aftermath of the Jack The Ripper murders.

Episode 4 airs at 9pm on Sunday 20 January and the brutal clearing of a local slum for the underground railway reveals an almost indecipherable murder scene and an unreliable slum girl witness.
