The former Doctor Who showrunner’s Death at the White Hart is published later this month.
It’s not out until the 27th of March, but itv confirm that a television version of Chris Chibnall’s novel is coming.
Death at the White Hart will be adapted by the author himself, and produced by his Imaginary Friends company and Red Planet Pictures (Death in Paradise).
Death At The Hart is set in the Dorset village of Fleetcombe, where the village pub’s landlord is found murdered. Detective Nicola Bridge must unpick a web of lies and rivalries to unmask the killer.
The novel is the first in a two-book deal the Broadchurch creator has in the UK and the US.
Red Planet Pictures’ Belinda Campbell executive produces alongside Chris Chibnall, and the adaptation will go into production next year.
Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials Mystery
Next up from Chris Chibnall, in television terms, is an Agatha Christie adaptation for Netflix.
The Seven Dials Mystery stars Mia McKenna-Bruce as the inquisitive Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent. She stars alongside Helena Bonham Carter (Nolly), Martin Freeman (The Responder) and Edward Bluemel (My Lady Jane). The series was filming last summer and should land in 2025.
