As part of a press event at Roath Lock Studios on September 24, a tour of the TARDIS interior set was granted to the attending journalists.
There have been some changes to the interior, as reported by SFX magazine, although we now learn those details are under an embargo. They’re due to be fully revealed next week.
Since the original designer of the current TARDIS interior, Production Designer Arwel Wyn Jones left after Doctor Who Series 11 to work on Dracula, these changes likely come from the new Production Designer, Dafydd Shurmer, the former Series 11 Art Director.
The journalists present at the press event were not allowed to take photos but we can exclusively bring you a preview of the changes to the interior via the Instagram post of a fan who visited the set over the summer. The Instagram post has several photos of the new interior to scroll through.
It appears the Instagram post was deleted. When it returns, we’ll let you know.
We will continue to bring you news of Doctor Who Series 12 as we learn more.
The January issue of SFX magazine hit newsstands December 3.
SFX issue 321 is now on sale! It includes 20 pages of Star Wars coverage, and comes with giant A1 posters. Choose between 12 different images! Also inside: features on Doctor Who, Dracula & Lost In Space.
