Doctor Who producer Tracie Simpson told the audience on a panel at the Gallifrey One convention that filming for Doctor Who Series 13 begins in September of 2020.
Simpson said this as part of the Tales from the Backlot panel at the convention which also included special guests Line Producer Steffan Morris, Second ADs Mark Corden and Camera Operator and Second AD Mark McQuoid.
Tales from the Backlot panelist Arnold T Blumberg of ATB Publishing reported the news on Twitter.

Simpson also stated that pre-production for Series 13 begins in June of 2020.
What does this mean for a premiere date for Doctor Who Series 13? Both Series 11 and Series 12 launched roughly a year from the start of principal photography so Doctor Who Series 13 will likely premiere in autumn of 2021.
