The show tells the origin story of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood from Dune.
With the prequel series Dune: Prophecy due to land in a month’s time, Sky have dropped a full trailer.
Previously known as Dune: The Sisterhood, the show’s had a lengthy gestation with a cast change or two along the way.
It now stars Emily Watson (Chernobyl), alongside Olivia Williams (The Crown), Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Jodhi May (Renegade Nell) and Mark Strong (Temple).

From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.
Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
Also in the cast are Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Camilla Beeput, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.
The series comes from showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker.
Dune: Prophecy is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television. Legendary also produced the two recent big screen Dune movies directed by Denis Villeneuve.
The six-episode series comes to Sky Atlantic and the NOW streaming service on Mondays, beginning on 18th November 2024. That’s a day after it’s US release on HBO.
