Charlie Brooker has unveiled the first photos from the upcoming third season of Black Mirror.
Netflix announced the commission of 12 episodes of the anthology series last September.
Six brand new episodes will all be released on Netflix on Friday 21 October.
British star Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Doctor Who) and Mackenzie Davis (The Martian) will lead the cast of the first episode, directed by Owen Harris, who previously worked on 2013’s ‘Be Right Back’ episode.
‘San Junipero’ appears to be set in the 1980s.
Brooker commented last year: “It’s all very exciting — a whole new bunch of Black Mirror episodes on the most fitting platform imaginable. Netflix connects us with a global audience so that we can create bigger, stranger, more international and diverse stories than before, whilst maintaining that Black Mirror feel.”
The third episode, ‘Nosedive’, stars Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), James Norton (Grantchester) and Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness).
The season’s other four episodes will feature Doug Stamper (House of Cards), Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire) and Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones).
Black Mirror first aired on Channel 4 in December 2011 and a Christmas special aired in 2014.
