Doctor Who fans have recognised a familiar set in the new Sherlock special.

‘The Abominable Bride’ aired on New Year’s Day on BBC One.

‘The Abominable Bride’ picks up where Season 3’s ‘His Last Vow’ left off, with Sherlock being taken away – and almost immediately returned – on a plane following the murder of Charles Augustus Magnussen (Lars Mikkelsen).

The interior plane set seems to feature elements from the UNIT plane set seen in ‘The Zygon Invasion’ in the latest season of Doctor Who.

Eagle-eyed Twitter user Ben Jones pointed out the similarity here on Twitter.

Elements of the set first appeared in 2014’s Doctor Who finale, ‘Death in Heaven’.
