The BBC has released two official photos of a new Doctor Who monster.

The episode currently being filmed is believed to be ‘The Girl Who Died’, written by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat.

Another photo shows the monster in daylight on location with director Ed Bazalgette.

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has hinted that the new season will continue in the same direction as Peter Capaldi’s debut year.

Season 9 began filming in Cardiff in January and will air on BBC One this autumn.
