‘Doctor Who’ Series 8 pics: ‘Deep Breath’ gallery

BBC America has released a set of four new photos from the first episode of Doctor Who’s new series.Series 8 begins on BBC One on Saturday 23 August with a feature-length episode, entitled ‘Deep Breath’.

Written by Steven Moffat and directed by Ben Wheatley (Sightseers), the episode features returning guest stars Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra, Catrin Stewart as Jenny and Dan Starkey as Strax.

Moffat previously teased: “‘Deep Breath’ is a big introduction—he’s the new Doctor. I suppose it feels a bit like a character piece, but there’s plenty of action and nonsense and jeopardy, as there ever is in Doctor Who.”
