Sky Arts has released a new promotional photo for an upcoming episode of the channel’s Playhouse Presents… season featuring Billie Piper (Doctor Who) and Ben Whishaw (The Hour).

Written and directed by award-winning playwright Polly Stenham, Foxtrot stars Billie Piper as Badger, a stripper-turned-kidnapper, who is holed up in a hotel with her accomplice Fox (Alice Sanders) and their victim (Ben Whishaw).

A phone call from their cold, calculating boss Mrs Dalloway (Lindsay Duncan) reveals that they have kidnapped the wrong man and that their real target was his twin. The man they are now stuck with until dawn has learning difficulties and struggles to communicate with them, but while Badger wants to ditch him and run, Fox’s conscience gets the better of her and she is compelled to help him, offering him water and a shower. “Why does everyone do this to people? Why does everyone f**k with people and treat them like meat? What is wrong with everyone,” Fox screams. But is their victim all that he seems?

Foxtrot airs at 9pm on Thursday 29 May on Sky Arts 1.
