Gen V – full trailer for the gory teen spinoff to The Boys (updated)

The new generation of Vaught International superheroes will be with us in late September.

Updated 06/08/23: With just a few weeks go until its premiere, Prime Video have landed a full trailer for Gen V.

Set in the same gory and full-bloodied universe as The Boys, the show takes us to Godolkin University where the neve generation of Supes are training to be heroes.

Naturally, as well as burgeoning superpowers, there are egos, hormones and something truly diabolical going on in the woods…

The streamer also recently dropped a run down of all the new characters being introduced into the Vaught-verse, many of whom pose in front of a desecrated statue of Homelander on the show’s latest poster.

Gen V lands at Prime Video with a triple-premiere on Friday, 29th September.

Updated 21/07/23: A further teaser for Prime Video’s college-aged spin off from The Boys has landed.

When Gen V was announced with a September 29th start date last week, we were also promised a teaser trailer. As good as their word, it’s here.. and yes, it’s supremely gory and NSFW.

Welcome to Godolkin University!

The promo showcases Godolkin’s new intake, primarily from the viewpoint of the ambitions Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), who has the ability to control streams of blood.

The show also promises a few familiar faces from The Boys: We can expect guest star appearances from A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne) and Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie).

Gen V – The Boys spin off launch date confirmed

It’s been a bit of a wait, but we now have a start date for Gen V, the college-aged spin off from The Boys.

The show lands at Prime Video on Friday 29th September, 2023 and tells the story of a bunch of highly competitive wannabe supes who attend Golodlkin University, or “God U”.

The show’s social media also confirms we can expect another teaser very soon…

Gen V

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part ‘Hunger Games’—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of ‘The Boys’.

The cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lizzie Broadway, Chance Perdomo, London Thor, Asa Germann, Maddie Phillips and Derek Luh. Additionally, Shelley Conn, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi will also star.

Gen V comes from showrunners are Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters.

We wonder if the new teaser can top the gore factor of the previous one? You wouldn’t want to bet against it!

The first three episodes of Gen V land at Prime Video on Friday, 29th September with episodes following weekly on subsequent Fridays.
