The wait is nearly over — The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 is coming this April
It’s been a while (as with most shows) since season 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale but the wait is nearly over as Hulu announces an April 28 date for season 4. There’s also a trailer with the following summary:
Let freedom reign. The Handmaid’s Tale, the 15x Emmy-winning series, returns on April 28, 2021, only on Hulu.
The cultural phenomenon picks up where we left off, with June’s fight for freedom against Gilead. But the risks she takes bring unexpected and dangerous new challenges, and her desire for justice and revenge threaten to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.
While the wait is nearly over, we already know the show has been renewed for a fifth season. If nothing else this tells us whatever happens in the forthcoming season, there’s still plenty more to be resolved.
You can watch the trailer now, and catch the first three seasons (in the UK) on Amazon Prime. We assume season 4 will also come to Prime, but we’ve yet to see confirmation of a date. Previous seasons have also aired in the UK on Channel 4 close to the US dates. We’ll keep you posted!
