Do you know the next Harry Potter, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger? 

HBO are seeking budding wizard actors! The studio has kicked off the casting process to fill the lead roles in the upcoming Harry Potter television series.

The show, which plans to faithfully adapt all seven novels, potentially across a decade, aims to begin filming during 2025/26.

The notice calls for children aged 9 – 11 in April 2025 who are residents of the UK or Ireland. It asks for two self-tapes: the first is a poem or monologue (not Harry Potter related), while the second is for giving personal details.

The information also notes that the casting process is wide open, confirming that they are “… committed to inclusive, diverse casting… without regard to ethnicity, sex, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity.”
