Arianna Grande concert prompts ITV to shift BGT in schedules. Here’s when you can see it…

We’ve never written about Britain’s Got Talent before, so this is new.

Nevertheless, we thought we’d let you know that the final of this year’s season is shifting its slot in the schedules from Sunday evening, to Saturday June 3rd, 7.30pm.

The change comes in the wake of the announcement that Arianna Grande’s benefit concert ‘One Love Manchester’ – for the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb attack – will air on BBC One on Sunday from 6pm. An ITV statement said:

“Ariana Grande’s ‘One Love Manchester’ benefit concert is bringing artists and the public together, and will raise funds for the Red Cross’s Manchester Emergency Fund. ITV and Britain’s Got Talent have no desire to distract from this important cause.”

Also affected by the shuffle is The British Soap Awards, which moves from Saturday night and will now air on Tuesday, June 6th, at 8pm.

BGT‘s move to Saturday puts it dead against the next episode of Doctor Who, which is slated to air at 7.35pm that night (after a screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark) . We know where we’ll be, then. Sorry Simon.
