Next on the slate for David Tennant is a new role in a US TV production, this time starring opposite Jennifer Garner.
He’s taking the male lead role in Camping, a new eight-part series coming from HBO. It’s been put together by the creator of Girls, Lena Dunham, and the former showrunner on that show, Jenni Konner.
The story centres on a camping trip to celebrate the 45th birthday of the character Walt. Said trip has been organised by his ‘aggressively controlling wife’, and the weekend does not go to plan.
Tennant is taking on the role of Walt, and the show is based on the UK series that shared the same name, that was created by Julia Davis.
The new take on Camping starts filming in the spring. No word yet on when we can expect it. Tennant is currently wrapping up his work on the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens.
