The BBC confirmed an eighth series of Death In Paradise earlier this year, that’s set to debut in 2019. But it turns out that when the show returns, it’s going to be missing a key member of its cast.

Danny John-Jules, who has played Office Dwayne Myers since the show began, will not be returning next year. In Shyko Amos will be joining the show as a fresh out of the academy officer, who soon starts rubbing people up the wrong way.
