It’s not the most surprising recommission news, but the BBC confirmed that it’d ordered another run of its hit drama, Death In Paradise back in February.
It seems a winter cocktail for ratings success, mixing in crime solving and sunshine locations, and more will be in store on BBC One at the start of next year.
Ardal O’Hanlon will be reprising his lead role in the show as DI Jack Mooney, for what will be its eighth series. Danny John-Jules won’t, however, be back. Filming will begin later this year on the new series – and the production company behind the show has teased the read-through of the new episodes, that took place yesterday…
We have the Series 8 read-through for Death In Paradise today! Very excited to begin the new series. pic.twitter.com/S6ruTBCiIA
