Divorce, the HBO series created by Sharon Horgan, will end with its third season. Here’s everything we know…
The series stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Hayden Church. Parker will continue to work with HBO through her company Pretty Matches Productions, Deadline reports.
“Sarah Jessica Parker has a unique ability to showcase the complexities of personal relationships with such empathy and humor,” said HBO’s programming boss Amy Gravitt. “With Divorce, she took our audiences through the keyhole and into the lives of a modern day couple dealing with the fallout of splitting up. As we end with the 3rd and final season of the show, we look forward to our next endeavor with Sarah Jessica and Pretty Matches.”
Sarah Jessica Parker is quoted as saying this about the decision to end the show with a six-episode third season: “Between scheduling and complicated lives and actors, it was a confluence of things that came together that helped us decide that six was something that we wanted to do, and we felt confidence that Liz [Tuccillo, showrunner] could achieve what we were all hoping for for this final look at Frances and Robert,”
Sharon Horgan said this on her Instagram page: “Watch the third and final season Divorce on HBO. If you’re divorced you can watch people fuck it up better than you. If you’re married you’ll know what it feels like to want to get divorced. And if you’re single, then, great, bully for you.”
