Doctor Who filming at Margam Park

Extras dressed in formal Regency Era costumes were present for Doctor Who filming at Margam Park from Monday 15 May to very early Friday, 19 May.

A grape pergola at the park was set-dressed with faux wisteria flowers for the filming.

Margam Park closes to the public at 6pm. The majority of the extras were hired for two night shoots on Wednesday and Thursday evening going into the early morning hours of the next day. The casting call for the extras was for a diverse group of men and women to portray attendees at a formal ball.

It is unknown whether any main cast members were present at the Margam Park filming but Ncuti Gatwa and Jonathan Groff were not present at the park Wednesday night, having gone to see Beyonce perform in Cardiff.

Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble. In the following festive period, Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor. Doctor Who Series 14 starring Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson will debut in 2024.
