It’s already known that Jodie Whittaker will start filming her first full series as Doctor Who before the end of the year, with production on her and new showrunner Chris Chibnall’s first run expected to take the usual eight to nine months.
Fan reports have started to come in too that filming may well be underway in Sussex. In particular, around the Bluebell Railway in the area. As the Sussex Express reports, “social media said that a film crew was at the vintage steam line on a day when the railway was entirely closed to the public”.
Filming took place for a day on Wednesday October 11th, and the rumour mill suggested it was scenes for Doctor Who. Understandably, the BBC has remained tight-lipped, whilst the Bluebell Railway team themselves couldn’t – or wouldn’t – confirm that the filming was to do with Doctor Who.
Expect lots of rumours of this ilk to start springing up over the coming weeks….
