Cultbox previously reported that the Doctor Who cast was headed to South Africa for more filming.
They have been busy filming since Monday but today the official Doctor Who Twitter account confirmed that filming has begun.

Jodie Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole seem to be pictured out of costume at the base they are using for filming in the Western Cape of South Africa.
The cast was also in South Africa last year to film the Doctor Who Series 11 episodes The Ghost Monument and Rosa.
It is not known exactly what locations on the Western Cape the crew have used and plan to use.
It is known to CultBox that a Doctor Who crew member currently in South Africa is assigned to three episodes so it’s possible they will film three Series 12 episodes in the Cape Town area this year.
We’ll keep you posted when we find out more about the South Africa filming.
