Doctor Who Series 12: Judoon at Gloucester Cathedral filming

Posted Filed under

A Doctor Who film crew spent nearly all the daylight hours of Wednesday, May 22 filming in front of Gloucester Cathedral.

Several actors and extras were present as well as creature actors playing the terrifying galactic rhino-headed enforcers, the Judoon.

Actress Jo Martin was present playing Gloucester city tour guide Ruth Clayton.

Martin was seen handing out pamphlets for tours of Gloucester in front of the Cathedral.

Several fans gathered to watch the filming. Even Paul Hollywood from The Great British Bake Off, seen next to a temporarily idle actor, came to watch the filming.

Many actors and extras were seen walking through the grounds in front of the cathedral until their peace was disturbed by the arrival of the Judoon.

The extras were seen scattering at the sight of the Judoon marching into their midst.

The Judoon’s presence didn’t go unchallenged. An actress playing a woman named Marcia, briefly confronted them before her unfortunate character futilely ran away in terror.

Neil Stuke, the only actor besides Jodie Whittaker named in the BBC press release preceding the Gloucester filming, was present playing an unknown character.

The Judoon were seen apprehending other characters as the filming continued.

The filming continued inside Gloucester Cathedral and on Berkeley Street on Thursday, May 23. This time Jodie Whittaker was present to greet fans. We will bring you news of that filming as well.
