Only six episodes of Doctor Who will be broadcast this year, it has been confirmed.
The show’s official Twitter feed announced today: “There will be 6 episodes this year, including the Xmas Special. Then 8 next year.”
Former Emmerdale actress Jenna-Louise Coleman was also officially revealed as Doctor Who’s new companion by showrunner Steven Moffat this morning.
Coleman’s character will make her debut in this year’s Christmas special, following the departure of Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill as Amy and Rory.
