Luke Pasqualino says audiences will be “surprised” with the relationship story in the show’s new run.
Now the cat is out of the bag regarding the start of Our Girl series 3, snippets of what we can expect to see are starting to creep out too. For example, star Luke Pasqualino – who plays Georgie’s former love interest, Elvis – has been revealing some details about where his character will be at the start of the new run.
“We find Elvis on a plane to Syria,” the star told the BBC. “He’s assembled his team together, all his SF boys. He’s drafted Maisie [a new character played by Shalom Brune-Franklin] in to drive them and asked Georgie to tag along as his medic as he needs someone he trusts.”
Previously, Michelle Keegan has noted that “Georgie still believes they can’t be together”, to which Pasqualino add that Elvis is “Incredibly head over heels in love with her and he wants to reconcile.”
He elaborates on this slightly by saying that Georgie “obviously still has her guard up and that frustrates Elvis, to know that there’s little he can say or do to win her back, but that doesn’t stop him from trying! I do respect him for that. Elvis and Georgie are still very much up and down with their feelings and what their future has in store for them as a couple. It’s all very much unknown and I think audiences will be surprised…”
So, it looks like we’re in line for plenty of drama in this globetrotting run of the series, as we would expect. Apparently, episode 4 of the run will deliver problems in spades for Elvis, with Pasqualino saying “you will be on the edge of your seats.”
One to look out for, then.
