Following their Christmas special one-off French & Saunders TV show revival, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders are now in the early stages of making a movie together.

The news was broken on the Happy Place podcast, where French revealed that “Jennifer and I have a film idea that we’d like to do”. It’s a project in the early stages, but she added that “what it really means that she and I have got to say, ‘you know 2019, let’s just put it aside and work together and find something we want to do’”.

It’s unclear yet just what the movie will be – they’re likely to have an idea, of course, they’re just not telling us! – but as we find out more, we’ll let you know…
