The television take on the feature film Hanna is set to film in the UK as part of a Europe-wide shoot for the new show. The film told the story of a young girl who is trained to be an assassin by her father, who just happens to be an ex-CIA operative. It was directed by Joe Wright, who most recently put together the Oscar-nominated drama, Darkest Hour.
The TV show is being adapted by David Farr, and it’s been picked up by Amazon for a full series run. Now we learn that the show’s production is going to take in the UK, Hungary, Slovakia and Spain, as part of its European filming.
Sarah Adlina Smith is directing, with Esme Creed-Miles in the title role. Joel Kinnaman also features.
No word yet on when to expect the show on our screens, though.
