Filming will commence on the second season of Channel 4’s Humans on Monday 11 April.
Eight new episodes of the sci-fi drama were commissioned last year following the success of Season 1.

Gemma Chan, who plays Mia, revealed the planned start date on Twitter, posting a photo with co-stars Emily Berrington (Niska) and Ivanno Jeremiah (Max).

The writers of Humans, Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley, revealed last year that they will “take the world forward a little bit” in the show’s second season.
Asked about their hopes for the long-term future of Humans, they joked: “Six seasons and a movie!”

Set in a world with life-like humanoids called ‘Synths’, Season 1 launched in June 2015 and the first episode was Channel 4’s highest rated originated drama in 20 years, with 6.1 million consolidated viewers.
