A new trailer has arrived for the Jack Ryan TV show, which will see The Office: An American Workplace and A Quiet Place star John Krasinski as the first actor to tackle this iconic action role on the small screen.

A new trailer dropped in the USA yesterday, with a special Presidential theme to tie in with the 4th of July celebrations. You can watch the new trailer right here…

The series, which will air on Amazon Prime Video, also has this official synopsis…

“When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.”

The trailer certainly plays up the action angle of the show, as opposed to the CIA analyst crunching numbers segment of proceedings. And if you were wondering, that backing track is Devlin and Ed Sheeran’s cover of All Along The Watchtower (a Bob Dylan song that was famously covered by The Jimi Hendrix Experience).

Jack Ryan will arrive on Amazon Prime Video on August 31st.
