Jodie Whittaker earns Critics Choice Award nomination for Doctor Who

Jodie Whittaker received a Critics Choice Super Awards nomination for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series for her work on Doctor Who.

The Critics Choice Association is the largest critics organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 525 media critics and entertainment journalists. It was established in 2019 with the formal merger of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, recognizing the intersection between film, television, and streaming content.

Also nominated in 2022 for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series are Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven), Laura Donnelly (The Nevers) Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery), Teresa Palmer (A Discovery of Witches) and Alison Wright (Snowpiercer).

The original plan was for the winners to be announced on March 17 but the 27th annual Critics Choice Awards will air live on The CW Network and TBS on Sunday, March 13 from 7:00-10:00pm ET.
