According to Deadline, Tessa Ross and Juliette Howell of House Productions, revealed that current Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa is attached to one of their projects.
“They are happy to share that Ncuti Gatwa, currently playing the Doctor in Doctor Who, is attached to an exciting project in development, a thriller inspired by Strangers on a Train and set in Sitges, Spain. House has a script that is taking out now.”
Strangers on a Train is a 1951 American psychological thriller film noir produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and based on the 1950 novel Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith. While riding a train, a man strikes up a conversation with a stranger about troublesome persons in their respective lives. The stranger then suggests that they murder each other’s nemeses, setting up a chain of deadly events.
Sitges is a tourist destination in Catalonia, Spain accessible by both road and train from Barcelona.
Ncuti Gatwa is expected to complete filming on the 2025 series of Doctor Who in spring 2024.
