One-time Doctor Who producer’s new drama starts filming this week…

Former Doctor Who producer Julie Gardner has another new project on her hands, with the news that her co-owned production company (with Jane Tranter) – Bad Wolf – is to adapt Deborah Harkness’ book, A Discovery Of Witches.

The adaptation, part of Harkness’ All Souls trilogy of books, has quite a cast, too. Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode, Louise Brealey, Owen Teale, Greg McHugh and Trevor Eve are amongst the announced ensemble.

Filming is getting underway in Cardiff this week, and Ashley Pharoah has penned the script for the television version.

Sky 1 will screen the show when it’s ready to go.
