It’d be wrong to call this a massive surprise, but the BBC is pressing ahead with Poldark series 4. And it’s now announced that filming on the new series of the drama has got underway.
The shoot is taking place in Cornwall, and the next series run will see Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson once more headlining the cast. Furthermore, there’s a notable fresh addition to the cast, as Rebecca Front will be taking on the role of Lady Whitworth, the ‘formidable’ mother of Ossie.
We’ve also now learned that Peter Davison’s son, Louis, is also on board for the new run of the show. Here’s the proof…

Debbie Horsfield is once again penning the adaptation and executive producing, and the cast will also include Jack Farthing, Elisa Chappell, Hugh Armitage, Luke Norris, Gabriella Wilde, Christian Brassington, Harry Richardson, Tom York, Josh Whitehouse and Beatie Edney.
Poldark series 4 will screen on BBC One next year.
