Originally broadcast on ITV between 1970 and 1971, the show starred Tony Curtis (Some Like It Hot) and Roger Moore (The Spy Who Loved Me) as two millionaire playboys.
An 8-disc Blu-ray set will be released on Monday 19th September, featuring HD restorations of all 24 episodes and brand new special features.
Titled ‘The Time And The Place’, the anniversary event will be held at 6pm on Saturday 10th September at Kent House in Knightsbridge.
Commencing with a food and drinks reception, an introduction will be followed by an HD screening of two classic episodes selected by Sir Roger Moore – ‘Overture’ and ‘A Death in The Family’ – before a Q&A with Sir Roger Moore himself, in which he will be talking about his career and role in the show. The original restored Aston Martin from the series will be on display and a special prize will be awarded to the person who attends in the best 1970s attire.
Tickets are available now, priced £40 to attend the reception, screening and Q&A. For £80, ‘The Gold Napoleon’ ticket will also include an advance copy of the Blu-ray and an opportunity to have it signed by Sir Roger Moore personally.
