Romesh’s Look Back To The Future will return for a 2019 edition, with comedian/presenter Romesh Ranganathan once again filming celebrities predictions for the year (in January) and then making them have a conversation with a hologram of themselves (in December).
Sky One debuted the format towards the end of last year, with Richard Osman, Katherine Ryan and Danny Dyer all appearing alongside their own holograms to discuss their expectations at the start of the year versus the reality of what actually happened.
And yes, we now know that work is underway on a 2019 version of the show. Hungry Bear Media, who produce the project, are advertising free tickets for audience members on the Applause Store website. (Click that link if you fancy going along!)
Here’s a teaser of what to expect, courtesy of that ticket-based webpage…
“Romesh’s three guests assemble in January to film their predictions, taking on everything from Entertainment and Sport to Celebrity and Politics. When they return to the studio, at the end of the year, they will team up with their younger selves – brought to life as state-of-the-art holograms.
“But the question is – whose prophecies will come true and whose crystal balls are on the blink? Join Romesh, his three celebrities and a whole host of special guests try to predict the future.”
We’ll bring you more news on Romesh’s Look Back To The Future as it happens. It’ll be interesting to see who his guests are this time, and how close their predictions get!
