- Russell T Davies sat down with Helena Bonham-Carter on Lorraine to talk with their host about their new drama Nolly on Wednesday morning, 8 February.
Host Lorraine Kelly didn’t fail to ask showrunner Russell T Davies about Doctor Who and Davies was happy to oblige.
“Very excited! We’re shooting now,” Davies told Lorraine. “Lovely Ncuti Gatwa is the new Doctor with Millie Gibson at his side. They’re just shooting stuff together now. I’ve got some scenes on my phone that are so exciting! It’s thrilling.”
The same morning, Millie Gibson filmed scenes with the TARDIS prop in Clifton, Bristol. Gibson and the crew filmed at the same location the previous day.

The fans watching the filming reported a very brief glimpse of Ncuti Gatwa outside Kings Weston House, which correlates with Davies’ report that Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson are “shooting stuff together now.”
Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor. In the following festive period, Ncuti Gatwa will star in his first full Doctor Who episode as the Fifteenth Doctor.
