24: Live Another Day is currently filming in London and sees Kiefer Sutherland return as Jack Bauer after a four year absence for a limited run of twelve episodes.

Fry has been cast as Prime Minister Trevor Davies, Deadline reports. The recurring character is described as “a strong and charismatic leader whose friendship with President Heller (William Devane), and the Anglo-American alliance itself, come under tremendous pressure because of personal and political crises”.

Sutherland teased: “24 has always had such a global sensibility. But to be able to tell this intense 24-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating.”

24: Live Another Day begins in the US with a double-bill on Monday 5 May and will begin on Sky1 in the UK shortly after.
