Marking its ten year anniversary, The Big Bang Theory is still kicking around Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, and it doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere anytime soon.
That said, the cast has been missing from the convention for five years, making this feel even more like a celebration than it might have otherwise. Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Kevin Sussman were present, though sadly Parsons and Bialik (who is on voice rest) couldn’t make it.
But after reminiscing about the past, talk turned to the future of the show.
“I came as close to crying as is possible for me,” joked Galecki about his reaction to Sheldon’s cliffhanger proposal to Amy at the end of season ten.
“We were all crying, watching them do it,” added Kunal Nayyar.
Despite fan appetite, they remained tight-lipped as to whether Amy would accept the offer or have some reservations, and that isn’t the only secret the show is keeping close to the vest.
Actress Kaley Cuoco brushed off a question about Penny’s maiden name, which has never been revealed on the show, saying: “Now I’m Penny Hofstadter, so it doesn’t matter.”
The Big Bang Theory airs on E4 in the UK.
