It’s definite: we’re getting more of The Durrells.
ITV has confirmed, followed its successful third series, that a fourth of the show is on the way. It’ll reunite the core cast, led by Keely Hawes, and Simon Nye is on writing duties again.
Furthermore, filming on series four will take place on Corfu later this year, with ITV set to premiere the next collection of episodes in 2019. Series four will feature six episodes in all.
As ITV’s senior drama commissioner, Victoria Fea, said, “The Durrells has proven immensely popular with viewers and critics alike, so we’re thrilled to have commissioned another series”.
She added that ““Simon Nye’s writing is witty, big-hearted and hugely engaging, so we’re looking forward to seeing what the fourth series has in store”.
We’ll find out next year…
