The season finale trailer for Titans is pitting Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson (aka Robin) against his former guardian, Batman. This action-packed episode will wrap up the first run of this teen-stuffed series, which airs in America on the new DC Universe streaming service.

Fans with good memories will recall that Dick’s history with Batman has been key to Titans since its first trailer: therein, the former sidekick uttered the words “F**k Batman”, distancing himself from Gotham’s iconic Dark Knight in fairly clear terms.

And now, here we are at the end of the season, with another trailer that bigs up Bats’ role in the show. Here it is, then, the finale trailer for Titans season 1:

The trailer shows Jason Todd (another former Robin, here played by Curran Walters ) beckoning Dick back to Gotham, urging him to stop Batman from killing the Joker. We then jump forward in time to see Dick calling out to Bruce Wayne (played by actor/stuntman Alain Moussi), attempting to pull him back from the darkness inside.

Will Dick succeed in talking sense into Batman? This trailer makes it look unlikely, but, either way, this should still be a very fun ride to witness.

Titans will air on Netflix for UK viewers, with a premiere date of January 11th already announced.
