Being Human creator Toby Whithouse has revealed that he’d only bring back the show if he had a “stunning and revolutionary idea”.
The supernatural comedy-drama launched on BBC Three in 2008 and the fifth season concluded in 2013.
Whithouse told BBC Writersroom: “We all know shows that have outstayed their welcome, or been cynically resurrected. And no one would thank me – least of all the Being Human fans – if I went back with anything other than a stunning and revolutionary idea.”
He added: “Anything less would demean the show. And I haven’t had that idea.”
The writer’s new drama The Game, set in the secretive world of 1970s espionage, is currently airing at 9pm on Thursday nights on BBC Two.
