There will be Horror Channel Hell this August and a treat for science fiction fans

According to the Horror Channel, August promises to be a wicked month for fans of horror and science fiction as well. If you want all the gory (and we mean gory) details, check out their blog. If you’re in a rush, we spotlight some highlights.

What’s waiting in Horror Channel Hell?

It all starts (of course) on August 1 with the remake of Rollerball, but that’s just a warm up act for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser on August 3. Here’s the horror channel synopsis for Hellraiser — we’ve underlined our favourite phrase:

Frank Cotton (Sean Chapman) has solved the mystery of the Lament Configuration puzzle box, a sort of evil Rubik’s cube. There’ a lot more to look out for, and do watch Kevin Bacon in Tremors on the 27th if you’ve not seen or. Or watch it anyway, because it’s good.

Don’t forget the science fiction bonus…

Science fiction fans are not overlooked, and from the 6th they can watch The 4400 (the series originally ran from 2004-2007 over four seaons). Here’s the series summary:

This classy sci-fi TV series revolves around the sudden reappearance of 4400 missing people. All were presumed dead or reported missing over several decades, and many return to their former lives on Earth – but with startling powers. Among those assigned to unravel their mystery is an earnest crime investigator whose nephew is one of the returned…
