The Disney+ film, chronicling the career of Jim Henson, is directed by Ron Howard.
Ahead of its May 31st release, Disney+ have revealed the trailer for its new documentary about Jim Henson.
While he’s best known for colourful characters of The Muppets, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock, Henson was also responsible for movies such as The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth during his 36-year career.
Jim Henson Idea Man comes from director Ron Howard. It draws on never-before-seen personal archival home movies, photographs, sketches, and Henson’s personal diaries.
With interviews from those who knew him, such as collaborator Frank Oz and star Jennifer Connelly, the film is described as the definitive portrait of one of the world’s most inspiring and iconoclastic creators.
It promises to be “… an unprecedented, intimate look at Henson’s illustrious, revolutionary career and complex personal life.”
Jim Henson Idea Man has been made with the full participation and cooperation of the Henson family.
The documentary comes from Disney Branded Television and is produced by Imagine Documentaries.
