During a Times Magazine interview, Jodie Whittaker told the interviewer, Dan Kennedy, that she was up for a role in Doctor Who during Matt Smith’s first series as the Eleventh Doctor, according to the Radio Times.

Whittaker couldn’t recall which part she failed to land but, if she had, she could have possibly been in one of Chris Chibnall’s episodes, The Hungry Earth or Cold Blood or any other episode in the Matt Smith’s first series. Her Broadchurch costar, Olivia Colman won a role in The Eleventh Hour.

It is not known why this piece of information was not in the Times Magazine story.
