Prime Video has announced the premiere of the Japanese Original series Like a Dragon: Yakuza.
The show is a live-action adaptation of SEGA’s hit RPG game franchise which debuted back in 2005.
The drama series comes from director Masaharu Take, and will star Ryoma Takeuchi as the lead character, Kazuma Kiryu.
It promises to showcase modern Japan, following the lives gangsters and people living in the huge Kamurochō entertainment district.
Here’s the synopsis for Like a Dragon: Yakuza
In 1995 and 2005, spanning across two time-periods, Like a Dragon: Yakuza, an original crime-suspense-action series, follows the life, childhood friends, and repercussions of the decisions of Kazuma Kiryu, a fearsome and peerless Yakuza warrior with a strong sense of justice, duty, and humanity.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza lands at the streamer in two batches. Three episodes on Friday October 25, 2024, with the concluding three a week later, on Friday November 1st.
