Millie Gibson, the actor who’s playing the Doctor’s new best friend, is interviewed by Ncuti Gatwa.
Following Saturday night’s unveiling of Millie Gibson, the actor who has landed the role of the Doctor’s newest companion, the BBC have released a brief Q & A video to introduce her.
The former Coronation Street actor is interviewed by her new co-star Ncuti Gatwa, who plays the incoming Fifteenth Doctor.
As you might imagine it’s a friendly affair, as Ncuti quizzes her memories of the show growing up, where she was when she heard had landed the role and where she’d like to go in the TARDIS.
It’s clear from the just over three-minute video that the pair have chemistry, and Gatwa praises her audition saying that, after she left the room, he said to [showrunner] Russell T Davies: “Russell! That is The companion, The companion. Just magic.”
