Pennywise hasn’t finished with the Losers Club. Anyone who has read Stephen King’s iconic novel knows that the story follows the characters in two timelines. The internet has been filled with dream adult casting since the it was announced that he 1986 novel would be split into two parts.
The only name remotely linked to the project has been Jessica Chastain for the adult role of Beverley Marsh. However, today it has been announce that both James McAvoy and Bill Hader are both in talks to play Bill and Richie respectively. If these negotiation are successful, it will be the third film in which Chastain and McAvoy work together.
While Bill Hader is known for his comedic roles, his back catalogue of voice roles makes him the perfect adult Richie; who in the time that passes between Chapter One and Two has become a celebrity because of his ability to make funny voices.
McAvoy and Chastain have already proven to have good chemistry in The Disappearance of Elenor Rigby so will be ideally cast for Bill and Bev who had a connection in Chapter One.
There is still four members of the Losers Club left to be cast and we’ll be sure to update you as the news breaks.
