Ncuti Gatwa visited Madame Tussauds in London in May 2024 with Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies to see his new waxwork double.
“Oh my god, it’s so strange!” Gatwa laughed. “That is amazing. That is incredible. Wow! It’s the teeth! The teeth are so accurate! Well done.”
“It’s been amazing to work with Madame Tussauds London’s artists, what incredible artists they all are. I hope when fans see the figure and the set, they feel that they are part of the Whoniverse, that everyone is welcome and they can step in to the TARDIS and hop off on an adventure.”
The Fifteenth Doctor waxwork exhibit opens to the public on Friday 19 July at Madame Tussauds London’s new Baker Street Studios film and TV zone.
Ncuti Gatwa returns as the Doctor this Christmas with Joy to the World co-starring Nicola Coughlan.
